Anderson's Unformity, Consistency & Expertise!

The Andersons have been producing top quality turf fertilisers for over 30 years and are considered the industry "bench mark" for performance, knowledge and expertise. Recognised as the leader in particle size technology (SGN), the Andersons, in partnership with TurfCare, aim to give turf managers what they want, when they want it - uniformity, consistency and expertise.

Particle Sizing Differences in particle sizing and uniformity increase the risk of uneven spread and incorrect product coverage. Andersons have set the industry standard for uniform particle sizing. Andersons Fertilisers are available in four product sizes, termed Size Guide Number (SGN). SGN 100 and 125 (1mm and 1.25mm granules) are designed for close mown turf cut below 12mm, whereas SGN 215 (2.15mm) is more suitable for grass mown over 12mm. The uniformity of the Andersons is carried across the entire range and gives the turf manager additional flexibility in their nutrient programmes to use reduced rates of application without the problems of speckling, leading to consistent turf colour and uniform response.

Phased Release Fertilisers The Andersons with Nutralene and Poly-NS incorporate the industry's ideal Nitrogen sources together with advanced micro and mini granular fertiliser technology. Nutralene methylane urea offers the advantages of "Tri-phase" technology designed to give short, medium and long term release. Nutralene releases by-hydrolysis and microbial activity, even throughout the most unpredictable weather that can be experienced in Europe. The Andersons have a formulation to provide turf managers with a fertiliser for all seasons.

Poly NS-52 is a uniquely formulated polymer and sulphur coated urea fertiliser. Poly NS-52 will release Nitrogen predictably over a 10-12 week period. As with all Andersons products, uniform, superior particle sizing ensures flowability of the product for easy consistent spreading. Poly NS-52 products are perfect for application on sports turf, tees and fairways and are produced to a SGN 215 (2.15mm) grade.

The particle size of these products combines spreading capability with high volume equipment, high particle count and quality ingredients. (Insert PolyS images x 2)

MUtech: Andersons brand for methylene urea - slow release nitrogen and potassium sulphate is designed to provide uniform colour, improved density and surge control for 3 - 4 months in a variety of environmental conditions. MUtech is ideal for close-cut turf - greens, tees and short-cut fairways - when a small particle formula is required.

Standard Release Fertilisers: The Andersons standard release range offers the ultimate in conventional micro-granular fertiliser technology. Reduced dust and unsurpassed particle size means superior product application with minimal scorch potential which results in less product loss compared with powdered formulations. Andersons micro-granular process means that more particles are applied per square inch of turf, reducing the problems of speckling.

DGPro "Dispersible granule technology" is the innovative new technology from Andersons. This products when combined with a number of existing Andersons fertilisers causes:
  • Particles break down on contact with water.
  • Invisible after a short watering or dew contact.
  • Mower pickup is virtually eliminated.
  • Enhances distribution of active ingredients.

Extend - a slow release nitrogen source based on polymer coated urea technology. These products tend to provide a longer feeding range than other nitrogen sources. Release rate is a function of temperature and coating thickness. Other factors such as soil moisture, pH, microbial activity and soil type will not affect release rate. The result is a very predictable slow-release nitrogen, which can last up to four months in cooler climates.
